Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Nothing on this site, and nothing returned by any third-party tool linked from it, may be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose the FCRA covers.
How Current Is the Information
Custodians correct records, replace portals, revise fees, and extend digital coverage. Library holdings can move as well. Although pages are reviewed, no detail is guaranteed current or complete. Verify important facts with the office or archive that holds the source.
No Legal Advice
Descriptions of Johnston records and directories are informational only. They do not replace advice from a licensed attorney.
Use Records Lawfully
Transparency does not authorize harm. Information found here must never be used to stalk, threaten, harass, intimidate, or injure a person. Misuse may breach Iowa or federal law and also violates the Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Tools
Independent companies power search boxes shown on some pages. We cannot control their results, fees, or data practices. No result from those tools is represented as an FCRA-compliant consumer report.
External Resources
We link to assessor and recorder portals, elections-office lookups, court searches, library local history collections, archives, and similar resources. We are not responsible for any external site's content, accuracy, or availability.
No Records Hosted on This Site
No government roll, directory scan, court file, or vital record is hosted here. Those materials stay with their offices, libraries, archives, and portals. Only the proper custodian can supply, verify, certify, or correct one.
